This beauty is clearly out-numbered by her boys...however, that has recently changed! I had the honour of capturing Anisa and her fam Jam recently. It is with such grace and patience that this woman runs her family. Finally they have added to the estrogen factor with this tiny wee abandoned kitten that they are raising for the Stratford Humane Society, which of course means feeding this tender muffin every 2 hours...even during the night!!!

Recently I had the honour of working with this incredibly talented and successful blogger http://www.jamiescrimgeour.com and founder of the Kick-Ass Stepmom Project, this gorgeous women is on a mission to open up the conversation about blended family life and debunk the nasty stepmom stereotypes that are still so prominent in today's society...she combines her flair for writing candidly about her own personal stepmom experiences and her extensive education in this area to help women all over the world!
I am continually humbled by all the talented and ambitious women entrepreneurs that have entered into my world. I am thankful for women like Jamie Scrimgeour and Abby Campbell who have stepped up to the plate, allowed themselves to feel vulnerable and have jumped headfirst into realizing their dreams. I have always said, that when strong-willed, intelligent and fierce women join together, anything is possible.
Jamie and I have had conversations about giving back, Africa and women supporting one another, it is this attitude of collaboration that has inevitably led to a fantastic new friendship that I am grateful for!
Jamie, herself has spent time in Kenya, so as you can imagine I was immediately drawn to her! We have had some fired up convo's about how fortunate we are to have the time to pursue our career dreams, unlike many women in Africa who have to spend several hours a day fetching clean drinking water for their families.
As many of you know, I have recently launched my new business venture Revival by Martin & Co. as a vessel to get fresh clean drinking water to all by 2030. So far, we have helped to raise $25,000 and we are eager to help fund another &50,000. We are in Pre-Sale of the Women's Clarity reclaimed Wood Watch and we can't even handle our excitement!!

Edison's Cafe Bar and Inn provided the stunning backdrop for our shoot http://edisonsinn.com and Abby Campbell of https://www.abbycampbelldesign.com helped to set the stage with some incredible props...can you even believe this women, made the ridiculously gorgeous concrete headboard, wood wall and to name a few...breath-taking really! But that is not all...Abby helped with Jamie's amazing kitchen reno too... serious talent here folks!
P.S.- I've decided that wine should always be available during shoots from this point onward! lol

I had the unique opportunity to capture the Moksha flow through my lens http://stratford.mokshayoga.ca! Yoga has certainly been the missing link in my life and after practicing with these incredible human beings for the past year, I have come to learn that gratitude, self love and mindfulness can really make a huge impact on the way we formulate our thoughts, our perceptions and how we choose to take action on our daily lives. Words cannot even begin to show how grateful I am for the motivation, guidance and patience this crew has offered to me. If you have not yet tried a class here at Moksha WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!!!! oh and did I mention, they offer Barre Classes? (thank goodness they pump the music during this intensive work out, drowning out the moans and groans that result in the muscle pumping effort necessary to complete these exercises!!!).
As a Registered Physiotherapist, I can attest to the importance of posture, deep breathing, core stabilizing,...this list goes on and on from an injury prevention stand-point as well as a rehabilitation process. Therefore, I truly advocate Yoga for most of my clients!

Well I suppose I could say we have been busy!!! Some of you already know what I have been unto others may not...so here it is!:
Jeff and I have just successfully launched our First collection of men's luxury environmentaly-friendly wood watches. 'Geared for Change', the Ignite series with three variations, 'The Ebony Ignite', 'The Koa Ignite', and 'The Walnut Ignite' all meticulously designed to deliver quality with one intention...to channel positive energy collectively towards inner peace and to IGNITE collaborative responsibility within ourselves, our community and our world.
We have handcrafted a watch with sustainable materials at an affordable price in order to do a greater good. Unsafe drinking water kills more people every year than all forms of violence, including war...But it doesn't have to.
We can make change. Our goal is to help raise funds to build multiple fresh drinking water wells in Africa. We have partnered with WaterAid Canada and 25% of our proceeds will go directly to this cause!!! This month has been full of emotions and late nights! we have currently raised enough money to help fund not one but two drinking water wells and we are absolutely ecstatic!
