okay so i must admit, jeff and i went on a 4 night hiatus to sunny, warm, Paradise Valley, Arizona last weekend. I needed a wee get-away, I have been glued to two things lately:
1. the eye-piece of my camera
2. my desk chair editing!!
Therefore, it was absolutely amazing to rest my eyes, body and soul at the Intercontinental Montelucia Resort and Spa. Here are a few images from our get-away! (these are pulled off my back-up camera! I dare not travel with my honey honey lens!!)
It was such an incredible trip, the yoga classes alone were worth the plane-ride! UNBELIEVABLE!
The resort is nestled at the foot of Cambleback mountain and had the flavor of a far-away spanish village with it's sun-drenched buildings, intricate walk-ways lined with splashing fountains and architecture.
Dreamy Paradise in deed!
Here are some shots of the resort
We spent alot of our time at the Moroccan inspired Joya Spa
The absolutely stunning spa pool overlooking the entire resort:
The spa was equipped with many healing rooms this one below is the room of intentions, where in you meditate on your intentions and then send a representative stone into the well of light!
We thought we would do a "little hour hike" up this mountain with one bottle of water...4 hours later and completely shaking we conquered the beast!! hee hee
can you imagine, how un-prepared we were! At least they had a railing at this point of the climb!
The view was well worth it!
oop almost made the shot! hee hee (thank you random person for taking our photo!!)
