May 24 Romance!

Exactly 6 years ago from this May 24, Leeann and James met at a bash of sorts.  They spent the day  "noticing" one another and then they spent the entire night chatting it up...and maybe even snuggling a wee bit...if you can recall that was one of those famous May 24 snow storm weekends!  The universe must have heard my little whine the other day about the rain, because suddenly sunday morning the birds were chirping again and the sunshine was radiating from all angles. It was a perfect day to meet and have them reminisce about their first couple of dates.. look at these two, they glow beside one another!!

We met on Monday morning to shoot their "spring" engagement shots for their upcoming wedding this summer. We thought that the variety in weather/blooms/scenery would be a great mix. However, it is already  hot hot hot this spring (no complaints, i am loving it!)

Anyways, here is your sneak peek! You guy are just way too cute, totally making each other giggle through out the shoot!

Rowan

Surprise surprise a May 24 that brings rain!! I have been super busy this past week which is absolutely fantastic and today due to the down-pour (and the fact that hunter is napping!) it has given me a chance to sit wrapped up in a giant blanket and edit some images that I took this week.

Brigitte and Colin contacted me from the Toronto area after seeing some images on face-book of Eamon (remember mr. crazy blue eyed babe from last spring) anyways, you can image how excited i was when they hired me to take photos of their ADORABLE smiley 1 year old!  

We met for a mid-morning date and I am so excited about the results of this shoot.  The entire family was so relaxed in front of the camera it was wicked awesome! Their only request was to get some shots at my "BLUE" door.  You wouldn't believe how many of my clients are requesting this door! And to think it is part of an old run down warehouse that likely has had no attention for the past 10 years!.

I must mention, it was a wee bit chilly so daddy had to coax Rowan into some smiles at the start! I love love Brigitte's expression too!

 

And of course we had to go to one of my favorite doors!

 

               

Jessica and Jake

This Monday I met with Jessica and Jake for their engagement shoot, we thought it would be fun to capture a few images with their family...their adorable pups!  At first, i will admit i was a little scared of the energy level of these two furry beings, how the heck was i going to be able to deliver a "posed" shot of the foursome?  The solution, meet at the park and burn some of that energy off beforehand!

Magically, as soon as I started the shoot, curiosity kicked in, and they literally smiled for the camera! Here are a few images with the fam...

...I should also mention, that Jessica has the MOST contagious LAUGH ever!!..and as you are about to see she also has these KILLER baby ice-blue eyes that i have been dying to shoot ever since they hired me!

So after we captured the "Family" shots we turned the focus onto these two lovebirds!

 
We had to stay close by the pooches so this meant using the spaces closest to the park, I am super pleased with the results of these locations!

 

 

Jake certainly knows how to crack Jessica up, these two had each-other in stiches! I always like doing my couples engagement shoots, becuase it actually gives me a sneak peek into how they will behave in front of the camera on their wedding day.  I have absolutely NO WORRIES about capturing genuine moments with these two!
 

 

Love love love these shoes...I have heard through the grape-vine, that they may even make an appearance on the big day! These are also two of my favourites from their shoot

Meet Fallyn

She and her siblings are absolutely beautiful!! I just couldn't wait to post a few shots from our afternoon session today. I swear, sometimes the universe is just on your side! Mother Nature I must thank you for bringing out the sunshine and allowing us to capture some wicked family memories for this amazing family! A brief sneak peek!

   

A Mother's Day Gift!

Meet Katelyn...

Katelyn is a beautiful free spirit, she is one of the best listeners I know, she has a heart of gold and a contagious  laughter that fills a room!

She, like many grads was not overly excited about the standard, 'tilt your chin down...cock your head to an angle similar to your puppy watching a new toy being tossed in the air and now say cheese' graduation photos...

She, also just 'happened' to miss her scheduled grad day photo appointment way back in 2007!

So, she called me to capture her outstanding achievement. 

What a fantastic Mother's Day surprise, her and her siblings came out for photo-shoot as a gift to let their mom know how much they love and appreciate her!

 

like come on how cute are these guys, they seriously make me want to have three!!

 

Check out these eyes! I love the flicks of deep amber! Wowzers and all three have these identical stunning peepers!
